Ras Kutani
A short flight south from Dar Es Salaam on the coast of Tanzania’s mainland, Ras Kutani has been the perfect spot for many of our guests to unwind for a few days. The beach is pristine and almost deserted and the sea warm and brilliant blue.
Ras Kutani is a small property with simple but spacious rooms all overlooking the sea or lagoon. Each of the nine thatched cottages and four hillside suites has its own en-suite facilities and hammocks on which to chill out on the verandah. There is also a bar, dining room and sitting area.
Windsurfing, snorkelling and even fishing from the shore or from a boat are possible. Next door is the Horse Club, and riding along the unspoilt beaches of the Indian Ocean is for some a highlight. There is also a lagoon behind the lodge which can be explored by rowing boat or canoe where colobus and vervet monkeys as well as rich and varied bird life can be seen.
