Rivertrees Country Inn
Rivertrees is a family small family owned hotel close to Usa River on the road between Kilimanjaro Airport and Arusha itself. It is set in ten acres of grounds which are planted annually with more and more flowers by the owner Martina Gerken-Trappe
There is a bar, a restaurant and a pool at Rivertrees as well as a number of rooms, each with en-suite facilities and its own style. The original house has three rooms and can be used for guests wishing to dine on their own. The two cottages are bigger than the older rooms and have baths as well as outdoor showers. The River House is recently built. It is beautiful with stylish furniture and has two bedrooms which can be booked individually or the house can be reserved for exclusive use. Meals can be served on the verandah which overlooks the small river.
Rivertrees is a great base to relax for a couple of nights before heading out on safari. Visits to Arusha National Park or into the bustling town can be arranged, but many people will prefer to simply get some energy back before the forthcoming early morning game viewing.
