Selous Game Reserve
Selous is the Africa’s largest game reserve covers more than 5% of Tanzania total area, and is three times bigger than Serengeti. Due to its unique ecosystem it was recognized internationally and the area designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.
The greater part of northern sector of Selous is earmarked for photographic tourism, and it is one of the most beautiful and game rich areas in the whole ecosystem. The wide meandering Rufiji River is one of the largest water system in Africa also it is one of the outstanding ecological systems in the whole of East Africa
Walking and boat safaris, traditional, game drives, flying camping and mobile working safaris, are the popular option for valiant visitors. Although Selous is best known for its spectacular large mammals like elephant, hippos, buffalo, lion, giraffe etc, it is equally celebrated for its abundant and varied birds.

Interesting features
The wide meandering Rufiji River which is one of the largest water system in East Africa; with its associated wetlands, lakes and swamps become one of the most outstanding ecosystem in East Africa.
A pack of African wild dogs which are now disappearing in Africa but still found in the Selous. Other flocks of giraffe, buffalo, elephant and antelope make it easy for visitors to take beautiful photos and also to think of arranging again a special tour only for photography.
